rear caliper rebuild questions
This looks like a real bitch:
http://www.miata.net/garage/ebrake/index.html I need to rebuild my rear brakes and I only want to clean the piston and replace the seal. Can I simply pop-out the piston, replace the seal, and put the piston back in? XOXO, Your Aryamehr, the Imperial |
Might want to hone the bore too

Mmmm, I'd like that.
They are doing another ECR toy run this December. $50 track day. But you're probably too pussy to go. |

Well, I did this a while ago and now I want the problem fixed. One of the rear calipers will not engage the park-brake. One piston slid out fine, the other slid out with the park-brake twisty thing still inside. Any tips or thoughts before I tear everything apart...again.

Is that for a sport rear caliper? (i.e. larger piston diameter)

I remember someone on here selling new rear 1.6 calipers for cheap, like $50? I was thinking about it. |
Not trying to threadjack hustler, somewhat related, but are remans generally trusted for those of us who see track time? I'm in the same boat, but don't feel like rebuilding, was gonna pick up some napa calipers.
