Replace sway bar end links, or just their bushings?
I'm going to be pulling the rear diff sometime in the next few weeks, so figure I may as well do any other maintenance in the area at that time. My miata is a 2003, but only with 56,000 miles. So not much is worn, but its still 15 years old and I don't count on rubber parts being great after that much time.
I think the adjustable sway bar links probably aren't worth it for how I drive the car, i'm not going to race it and i'm not lowering it either. So then its down to the question of the title - do I buy new OEM style end links, or remove the bushings from the ones I have and replace them with urethane ones. I'm also unsure whether to bother replacing the roll bar, but leaning towards not. Any advice? |
If you still have the 2003 OEM endlinks, they don't have bushings. The endlinks have ball joints at both ends.
If you're keeping the car at stock ride height on OEM suspension, just stick with what you have unless there is excessive wear/play in the ball joints. |
thanks, I haven't crawled under it to check yet, so probably will leave it alone then.
