Ring Gear swap a 4.1 to make it a 4.3?

Been wanting to get a 4.3 torsen for a while, but they are so damn hard to find and expensive. Started looking at ring and pinion swaps, and I noticed the 4.1 torsens are a 41 tooth ring and 10 tooth pinion while the 4.3 ones are 43 tooth ring and 10 tooth pinion. It is significantly cheaper to do a ring and pinion swap, but I don't have a press and am slightly nervous about the process associated with the pinion swap.

That being said, can I just simply swap the ring? I'm not sure if they use the exact same 10 tooth pinion (pitch, helical angle, etc), and maybe the mesh/backlash has more or less clearance depending on the ring gear teeth number? Would love to hear your guys' thoughts.

Thanks

No way.

I'd like to know your reasoning, just to have an open discussion.

Reading more online it seems all I'd have to do is make sure the backlash is correct. Pinion depth and preload would be left alone so therefore I'd think contact patch would remain the same? The 43 ring I guess could change it. And I'm not sure maybe the 43 ring lash I'm looking for is unobtainable with the pinion depth of a 4.1.

Looks like they are different profiles after all. Guess that kills it

Not only that, it needs to be a matched set.
