FYI HREW is hot rolled electic welded, CREW is cold rolled electric welded, but there is not point to buying cold rolled its just cleaner when you get it, but not any stronger. DOM is stronger however. Since DOM is drawn over mandrel it is more consistent through out, thats what gives it the advantage the others its it basically forged and the others are basically bent or folded into shape and then welded, but all are the same material.

We almost have to step in on threads like this nowadays. I can see it already: Lawyer: "Mr. Landrum...do you go by gospeed81 on miata------....I mean miataturbo.net?" Me: "Why yes I do...I am the king of those uneducated power bottom handballers, atleast when hustler isn't online." Lawyer: "Are you also a practicing mechanical engineer?" Me: "Yes, I am...why do you ask?'' Lawyer: "Considering that, do you feel that your advice made to Mr. Meoff, or ls1motorsports as you know him, was appropriate and responsible?" Me: "You mean about the whips and chains thing? I told him to partice his "safe-words" and to always keep an eye on his "subs." Did he kill someone? He should have done the double squeeze..." Lawyer: "Ummm....no. He was in an accident, and his wife's heart was punctured by a rollbar which failed." Me: "Oh...I told him it looked pretty strong. How was I supposed to know he'd carry passengers? I thought he was some 14yr old internet bench ricer in his parents' basement." |
Seriously, what's with the BDSM theme to the jokes on this forum? o.o
