Default Removing anodizing fromn GC coilovers ?

picked up some GCs recently. not a huge fan of the red/gold. Ive seen in many threads/videos online that you can use oven cleaner to safely remove the anodizing

Im just worried it might wreck the aluminum. has anyone done this before ?

SO you know that they are barely visible once on the car right?

and removing the anodizing is removing the corrosion resistant coating right?

but this is the easiest way to do it: http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=303218

remove the anodize and then weld them together because that's what'll happen eventually anyway.
