Take a look here:

Solomiata : Drivetrain : Interchange

The rx7 tranny has a much lower ratio 5th gear.

Despite what cueball says, many relatively high hp miatas are running 6 speed trannys aok.

I'm not saying 6 speeds suck, they are certainly stronger than our 5 speeds. They aren't bullet proof though.

Well first of all, I appreciate you searching. And although some will give you ---- for pulling up a very old thread, those same people would probably make fun of you for posting without searching. Ironic huh? Generally it's customary to stick a quick quip about necro threading to inform us that yes, you looked at the most recent post's date.

And I have no idea what the Honda reference is about? Their transmissions won't work with ours.

cool story....

You searched for this thread but did you even read anything from it?!

You literally asked the same question as the OP from post #1

thanks but i read it , and maybe i didnt take from it the knowledge i needed to absorb how about that. so i need a adapter plate for my rx7 trans fab a mount, turboII rearend is good but custom axles need to be built? im assuming driveshaftshap.com and a similiar place for the axles?

Great attitude.

Figure it out for yourself.
