Shifter turret moved after car fell while jacking up
 

Curious if anyone has any advice or knowledge on this. I was jacking up my car and my jack slid and hit the crank pully (look let’s not get into it- I bought quick jacks now lol). The main damage seems to be the shifter turret looked like it “fell down” and shifted to the left. I replaced the motor mounts since they needed it anyway, stock to innovate mounts. Didn’t move the turret. Undid the ppf but then trans didn’t want to move left/right but did correct the up/down. I did also do the clutch recently. Looking at where they meet, there is no visible gap indicating that maybe a bolt gave out and caused the tilt. I might try again later with a air ratchet to confirm they’re all snug, but I don’t think that’s the cause/issue. Looking online it looks like it could possibly be the PPF bent when the engine got hit by the jack? Is there any easy way to tell other than finding a new PPF?

You probably need to do a PPF alignment after replacing your motor mounts. Look it up, it's pretty easy.

I'd be more concerned about the weight of the car suddenly landing on the crank pulley! Make sure it's still straight and true with the motor running.

Thinking out loud a bit: but also, since I did unbolt the trans from the PPF and it didn’t want to go into the center, that should rule out the PPF right?

Okay, real follow up (for future historians looking for an answer): replaced my power plant frame (PPF) and that fixed the real issue. The 'aha' moment was when I was taking the PPF off for to investigate the transmission / engine and the turret naturally wanted to be in the middle (meaning the only thing realign it was the PPF). With the engine and transmission connect, and heavy AF, it made sense that the PPF could bend from the original impact to the engine. And thankfully the PPF instead of anything internal (and since I had been driving with it a bit crooked, I was sure that the engine and trans was fine). Now to fix this fucking exhaust leak and get this bitch back on the road. Good weather is almost here and the roads are deserted.
