I changed out my GT3071R to an external wastegate turbo housing and now the factory shock tower brace interferes with the wastegate. I'm looking to see if I can find someone that has one of the original Flyin Miata braces. It seems by the photo it would allow for clearance of my wastegate. I'm open to other brands if anyone can suggest another brand. Thanks for your help. I have attached photos of my brace and the lack of clearance issue and a photo of the FM brace that I think will resovle my issue.

Does it hit the hood at this point? Maybe just shim both ends to clear.

I was mulling that over in my head. I don't think if I raised both sides up 1/4" that it would hit the hood or the WG. That may be the route I have to take. Thanks for the suggestion.

 

It's debatable on whether or not it's even necessary on this chassis. Seems the fender braces do more than the strut tower brace.

 

Thanks for your input. I saw a few comments about that. Any suggestions on the best fender braces?
