Slave cyclinder transmission rubber boot leaking

1 Attachment(s)
I have fluid leaking from the rubber boot thats around the lever that engages the clutch. I have no idea what its actually called. I circled it in this picture:

Is there a seal I need to replace? My head is about fired after the drive-train overhaul I've done on my car. Just looking for advice.

The slave is bad, you have to replace the whole thing. Its pretty common.

You need to replace your slave cylinder. This will only get worse.

Can't beat this price: http://5xracing.com/i-155888-exedy-m...-cylinder.html

Slave cylinder needs to be rebuilt or replaced ASAP before the car leaves you stranded.

Go figure, thats the slave cyclinder off the 01 with 126k. Guess I should of stuck with mine that has 188k, lol.

Just to double check, the leak is coming from the bottom of that square boot. Still the slave right?

You can buy new for $45 or rebuild for $12 and a bit of wet or dry sandpaper to "hone" the bore. I have rebuilt one on every single Miata that I have had. I keep a rebuild kit in the shop.

You sure its not coming from the boot of the slave cylinder and just migrating onto the bigger rectangular boot?

Give the slave boot a little squeeze and see if fluid comes out.

The rectangular boot is just a dust guard for the inside of the bell housing, so stuff wont get caught up in the flywheel or clutch, there should never be any kind of fluid inside there.
Unless your bell housing filled all the way up with oil

Lol, listen man I'm just drained from this weekend. Anyone that has done an engine swap by them self can understand. All this ITB shenanigans has got me in a shit-fuck as well
