Stock Differential...Front Mount for PPF delete

For those that have completed a unique motor swap in a Miata, and have reused the Miata differential...

What methods have you used to hold the front of the diff, when the PPF is deleted?

I can think of some simple ideas, myself, but would also like to see what others have come up with...

Pics welcomed!

This is what I've seen so far..

I personally would build a new torque arm from the diff to a location on the new transmission, or to the crossmember that you will have to build to support the transmission of your choice.

The longer arm will have much more leverage on the diff.

This would make it hard to adjust pinion angle. The second idea there with the heim joints has adjustability. But...

I agree. This is what I did to my T5 trans swap. I was able to use the PPF almost unmodified, bolted to the transmission mount crossmember using one of the original PPF to BP trans holes. But in my pursuit to remove an annoying high speed drivetrain vibration I shortened the PPF slightly, about 6", to allow more pinion angle adjustment. I may shorten the PPF another foot or so and make it's own mount/cross member if the third driveshaft balancing company can't balance it and tie both cross members together in a sort of butterfly brace. I find that my vibration issues go away if I loosely attach the PPF to the trans crossmember. The current version uses NB bumpstops as vibration isolators. Ghey. That PPF is a hell of a tuning fork at the transmission end. I have had much better success with a DIY guess-n-check-with-hose-clamps driveshaft balance job than paying legit shops to do it. ehh whatever, it pisses me off when I think about it.

The heim joint has my interest the most...

I really like not having the PPF in my way,

And I like how easy pinion angle adjustment is.
