Swapping NA6 brakes for NB Sport Brakes

I'm in the process of swapping my Non-ABS NA6 to the NB2 sport brakes. Currently I've bought the calipers/brackets, and next on my list are rotors/pads/stainless lines/adjustable prop valve. However, where can I find the larger sized dust/splash shields? Is there a part number I can just google and pick them up for cheap? I've heard of people running without, but I'd prefer to go all the way.

Also, is there a more cost effective and still good kit than https://supermiata.com/Stage-1-Miata-brakes-02-05.aspx ? Eventually I'm installing a turbo onto my car, but I want to make sure I get good brakes before I do since I'm still on the stock NA6 brakes.

Street/autox car? Or track car?

Good street/sport pads such as stoptech sport pads or hawks hps and generic autozone rotors is all you really need.

Unless track car, then supermiata kit makes sense.

Primarily street, and while I'll do the occasional autocross for fun I don't expect to ever be competitive in my class.

Front Left Sport Suspension - N06733271A - https://www.prioritymazdaparts.com/o...eld-n06733271a
Front Right Sport Suspension - N06733261A - https://www.prioritymazdaparts.com/o...eld-n06733261a
Rear Left/Right Sport Suspension - N06726261 - https://www.prioritymazdaparts.com/o...ield-n06726261

The rear left and right appear to be the same parts, just rotated as needed.

It's ~$100 shipped for a full brand new set.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for!

Or don’t use splash shields.

...Or just bend the interfering sections of the NA6 shields out of the way like I did.

Since this thread is the same subject I am interested in could somebody point me to the right place?
Figured it is better than starting a new thread.

I watched a couple of YouTube video's on switching out the regular brakes for Sport but both has a few components that need to be purchased as a used items.

Is there a complete list of part numbers where I could purchase all of the sport brake parts brand new to upgrade my car?
If it matters my car is a 2000 with regular brakes.

Speaking as someone who has upgraded to sport brakes; stick with the regular 1.8 brakes. You're pad selection is easily 2x or 3x what the options are for sport brakes. They offer only marginally more power, easily outweighed by the lack of pad selection.

If you do insist on going forward with it, you will need:
  • front sport calipers,
  • front sport caliper brackets,
  • sport rotors for all four corners,
  • just sport caliper brackets for the rear
  • sport front brake lines if you have stock 1.8 ones (most aftermarket braided stainless lines are long enough for either caliper, stock are not)
The 1.8 rear caliper is just spaced out on a different bracket to accommodate a larger rear rotor, caliper can be reused.

Thanks for the feedback.

My car is running 314 HP to the rear wheels so I am beginning to feel the need for an upgrade over the factory brakes.
Was considering going to the 6 piston Wilwood brakes but am iffy about how much better they are than the sport brakes for the street.
I did do some upgraded pads a couple of weeks back but have not driven the car hard since then.

NA8 brakes with good pads will be just fine for the street at 300whp plus. I recommend PFC 01 or 11.

As noted, sport calipers significantly reduce pad availability and sometimes increase costs.
