Tein flex setup front 1991
 

Ok, I finally am getting around to finishing and getting back on the road. The flex's are on. The back is at 13.5 inches center to fender at rest and I tightened up the spring with the perch until I got 14.9 inches when jacked up. I've read on here to set the fronts to 90% shaft length of the rears but I don't get it. Just a really slow learner thing. Is there a simpler measurement I can use to get my front preload correct with a ride height of 13 inches. Need to get to the track and try out the flex and corrado brakes. Thanks!

Anybody? I need to get it aligned to drive it to the track to get it corner weighted and test it out a little, but then I will have to get it aligned again after its all adjusted. I can't afford all this adjusting. Can anyone tell me the distance from the bottom lock to the spring perch locks on there setup so I can see if its close?

Like I said above, the ride height is ok (little low for my taste, but looks good) and the droop on the rear is where people say it should be, just really need those fronts to be close.

i'm not understanding the request I guess. What is difficult about adjusting the ride height? Shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 times to get it right. Measuring from one car to another like you want will not give you the results you want in all likelihood. Or maybe break out some geometry. Just going by memory, the mount point on the shock on the control arm is about 5/8 of the way out from the pivot point, so 1'' change at the spring will equate to a little more than 1.5'', so if you need to remove 1'' height, just crank the perch down about 1/2'' and it should be ballpark, unless my estimate of 5/8 is way off. I'd just go with a simple 2:1 ratio, 1/2'' at the spring makes 1'' at the wheels. Close enough.

I'm good on ride height, but very unsure about preload on the front shocks. And as I adjust preload, I can change the shock body length to keep my ride height.
