V8R engine mounts?

Has anyone tried the 62a v8roadsters engine mounts yet? My old 70a awr mounts were about 105% of my nvh tolerance level for a street driven car and I'm building another BP powered car over the winter.

IMHO, not a single one of the mounts of that design, are ever going to be anywhere near "acceptable" levels of NVH for a street car. Even I think 50 or 55a (made by another company) felt like a giant vibrator on the cars I've driven.

those are #becauseracecar type parts

I didn't think the awr mounts were nearly as bad as everyone says. They were just ever so slightly over my tolerance level. Not much at all. I'll use them again, but if the v8r ones are slightly less vibratory, then I'll try those. I'll try anything once. Even ----.

In that case you'll love them :)

I can't stand those mounts on a street car. Guess I'm just a little girl

Vlad have you looked at them. They use a wayyy thicker rubber bushing. I've never tried em but I bet they are better.

Blackbird also makes some

Your 100% tolerance for street nvh is ~66a so get the 62a as they're well within your tolerance. Today's math brought to you by gin and boredom, ymmv.

I have AWR 70A mounts in Rover and they are way beyond my tolerance for NVH in a street car too. I have Mazdacomp motor mounts in Acamas along with Energy poly diff mounts, and that's aggressive, but still streetable.

I just don't think the mazdacomp mounts offer enough control. OT, you will be getting many of my dollars very soon on this very car. MS3 and EFR kit will be mine...

Try out blackbirds street mounts.

As a data point, I had the 949 hybrid mount kit and it was definitely street able. I've switched to Blackbird drop mounts (low nvh) and there is an appreciable increase in nvh. My car is so loud on the inside even with mtnet approved muffler, I just considered it a free butt massage.

The mounts have since quieted down which could purely be my getting used to them. Car feels great though. I really have a tough time justifying Mazda comp mounts the way the last two deteriorated in a two year time. Maybe my dp is too close?

I recently switched to an enclosed bushing type mount. I will never go back to mazdacomp mounts. There is no comparison in the amount of engine movement control. I would consider trying the hybrid type

Negative, it has nothing to do with you :)
The bushings just needed to be broken in and it sounds like they did, so that difference in NVH you noted at the beginning would probably be a lot less noticeable now if you switched back and forth.
