I just had an awesome sandwich from Jason's Deli.

I'm pretty sure I could swap my 1.6 HPS pads for the cheapest pads at the local auto store and have better braking.

psreynol 04-27-2012 01:23 AM

HPS is not good is a low dust street pad I think. hp+ is ok for the rear on heavy ABS cars just because they don't overheat that bad and literally fall apart, and they are not super aggressive on rotors at low temp. my experience on these pads is only for the rear on heavy cars with abs. never heard of anyone running on the front.

Yeah, I had HPS pads on and literally threw them out after a few weeks because they were worse in every way (dust, bite, heat) than the O'Reilly cheapos.

Bryce 04-27-2012 01:48 AM

I don't care about dusting, but god damnit ----------er, these HPS pads have NO initial bite.

acutally duralast pads are the scariest pads you can ever fit onto your car. even with my 11" rotors I had to pull them off cause I felt too unsafe. But they were very quiest and didnt dust :jerkit:

HPS might just be only slightly better than them.

I really like my ULTs, but it seems they stopped making them.

HP+ worked pretty well on my old 1.6 on Falken Azenis back when I was learning the ropes. I ran that pad for about 1-year in my 80whp 1.6.

I too have felt a bit iffy about their company. I havent had actual product issues, just their customer service and desire to help after getting their money didn't seem to be on par
