My newly acquired msm acts like it has a clutch delay valve (a la BMW). When you release it any quicker than a little spiritedly it returns slowly back to normal position. Running or not. Seems to be something in the hydraulic system keeping the fluid to return to the master, hence my question.

Do MSM's have a clutch delay valve?

What causes it, then? I've driven 3 different MSMs (including the one in question many many times) and they all did it.

Try bleeding the clutch.

It is fine until you release it fastly.

Other people have the same problem as you. I've driven MSMs after installing and bleeding a clutch, they drive exactly the same as any other NA or NB, probably because it's exactly the same hydraulic system.

What do you think it is? Hopefully it isn't the master then as it is the only thing I am not replacing when the clutch goes in.

I got a master and a slave from amazon for $33.29 shipped.

Yup, exact same hydraulics, nothing different about the turbo model at all. The turbo master isnt completely different.

Are the slaves interchangeable? In my experience, those clutch release valves tend to be in the slave.

There was one in my Tiburon, and the very first "mod" I did to that car was delete the stupid thing. I hated it. It made the clutch so unpredictable.

The MSM and the normal car have different clutch hardpipes, so you'd also have to spend the $20 or so to get a new one of those.

The outlet of that master looks different and has what looks like a banjo bolt adapter thingy and some other junk that the standard one doesn't have?

Where can I get the non msm hard line from the master to the junction to the soft line? I swapped the clutch, soft line and slave and it is exactly the same. I want to swap the master and hard line to the non msm ones now.
