They typically take an initial measurement to determine depth, and since the bosses never wear out, the reading will be off. I know, because first time I had mine resurfaced, my brand new clutch barely lasted 20K Km (12K miles). I measured the depth and it was 22 mm. It was just a matter of finding the right machinist (pictured a couple posts above) and things are good atm. (They charged me $23 for that resurfacing job - that includes assembling the clutch on a specialty bench and checking/verifying proper engagement/disengagement) |
