Default Help Meh

Ok so I'm running the tokico shock and spring set up, the ebay kit w/ red springs. I'm not at all satisfied with the spring rate, there is way too much body roll and turn in is horrible at the auto-x. I street drive the car maybe 40% of the time, the rest is spent autocrossing and very soon doing track days. My question is this: Should I buy a set of 450in/lb springs for the front and some 300's for the rear, along with FCM bumpstops and NB top hats for the rear, or sell this set up in favor of a koni or bilstein w/ springs of the same rate? I am looking to reduce body roll and improve my turn in while autocrossing, will this also help when tracking? Forgot to mention I also have the FM sway bar set front and rear.

hell why so light give her abit of stiffness dude, the nb conversion will help streetability and nvh but there is no reason the NA setup would'nt be just fine for you. The bilsteins are nice but all i have seen is non adjustable stuff, the konis are slick but pricey, i put some agx's on our 96 and am happy with how it firmed everything up and made the car alltogether more liveable, and responsive with stock springs etc, vs the stock shocks. I am far from a suspension expert but i know what ive tried and so far all the above has been pretty good to me. What is your wheel and tire situation?

450 may be too much spring for the toks.

What gospeed did here on the second post, combined with a revalve would be money, imo. Especially if you are on a budget.

If you have money, call Shaikh at FCM, he can set you up with a good kit. FWIW, I got a FCM kit, 550/350. After driving it, I should have gotten a much heavier spring, at least 650-750. Ride does not suffer nearly as much as you think when you have the correct valving for the spring rate. My 550s ride MUCH better than the other car with KYB AGX, 325# front spring.

A great setup would be FCM full kit, 750/400-450, RB 1.125 hollow front bar with NO REAR BAR. Make sure you have at least a torsen, and get a real tire! The Azenis can't hold turbo power, especially in the little size you are using.

You are going to have to spend some money, my little friend.

I has a torsen already Eventually I'm going to sell both sets of wheels I have and get a set of 6UL's and run some 225's of RS2 flavor... So for now I guess I'll just stick with what I have until I can save for some FCM goodness, prolly revalved bilsteins and GC's. Thanks for your help!
