Willwoods+winter

Since the willwood calipers are not fully sealed how do they deal with winter driving with salt? Anyone daily drive with them year round?

When I bought my car, the PO had the Wilwood BBK - told him to keep them. Google told me that Wilwood doesn't recommend using them during the winter - not sealed = water can get in and freeze = no brakes = crashy crashy. (IIRC)

I'm located near Toronto, so similar climate to you. I'm sure the salt is bad for everything.

my wilwood calipers only see track driving and they only lasted 3 years. time for a replacement now. i'm sure driving them in the winter will yield similar results.

I wonder if there is a way to seal them.

OGRacing- Which calipers are you using for the track and is your setup front and rear with Wilwood pads or Carbotechs?

Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread

I've used them for 10 years in all sorts of weather and never had an issue. No salt here though.

Have you used them in weather under 40?
