Xida coilover alignment.

I was having a BMW Guru help me set up my car and alignment. I let him run the show since he has two race cars and a lot of experience. We started by adjusting the Xida coil over spring perches to leveling my LCA ( lower control Arms parallel) parallel to the ground, this made the axles drive line to the hub line up nicely. We then adjusted the Xida perch/ spring fronts ( as close as possible to being parallel W/ the front steering rack). We then we went ahead and corner balanced, dailed in the alignment and corner balanced again to adjust any changes. We didn't really set the car by Pinch weld ride heigh from the ground. The car might be riding higher than the 949 race alignment pinch weld height. Is this ok ?

Might be or might not be riding higher, that is the question..

Only one way to find out, measure pinch welds.

Is it okay? Probably, go drive the car and see what it needs. Alternatively, measure the pinch weld height like the other guy stated. Being an inch off isn't going to cause you to careen off the road into a ditch.

The reason for low pinch weld heights is to gain negative camber. Tire wear and usage will determine if the car is too high.

Higher pinch weld heights (closer to stock) actually bring the roll center closer to the CG. So you can get increased roll stiffness at the expense of higher CG and less camber. But there are easy ways to get more camber if needed. The main thing is to make sure you have a little bit of rake with the rear slightly higher.
