This is great. Can you tell me more about your offering of a built motor? Sometime in the future I may be needing one and I'm definately interested in yours.

The best explanation is on the website. :) It's cheap because it's not fancy - we know what breaks inside the motor when you turn the power up, so we touch on those points (rods, pistons, oil pump gears), replace any necessary wear items (valve seals, etc) and leave the rest of it alone. No crank lightening, etc, although we can add stuff like that if someone is so inclined. We don't have them on the shelf since each motor is built to customer specs - compression ratio, bore size, piston-wall clearances, etc.

The basic motor ($2300) assumes you're looking for a reliable 250-300whp track package, and you can supply us with a 1.8 longblock to start with. For 300+whp cars, we strongly suggest adding a Boundary built oil pump. If you just want to buy a longblock from us, it's $3400 with a built oil pump, plus shipping (typically in the $300 range for freight shipping in the US).

July 2011 update: Boundary oil pumps and ARP main studs are now standard equipment in all of our longblocks. The price has jumped a little bit to reflect the new parts ($2899+core). The standard bottom end is now rated for 500whp.

Get in touch with us when you're ready to spec out your motor. :)

NICE prices dude!

Thank you for the response. When the time eventually comes I'll be calling you.

I hope the word gets out, this is a great idea to have a built engine we can order up. It's a win-win as both parties can benefit by you making a sale and us being very happy customers. Thanks for offering this to your customers.

Savington-

So about $300 shipping each way? I've been looking local for shops to do motor builds....but haven't come across any yet that are familiar with anything but big V8s etc. If you were closer, that would be a no brainer for me...but I think shipping might be $$.

I have a similar motor with the same components and it's great. All i do is change the oil and race the shit out of it.

I wish you guys would come up to Mid-Ohio...mostly so I could shit on Hustler's girlfriends chest and then rape his TTB car with "my" TTB car.

We don't run SM times with our car...

Hope to see you guys at Nasa Nationals!

Oh and to the OP and TSE sorry for thread jacking. I will stop poking the Hustler bear now.

Trackspeed is awesome to deal with, all the emails I've received so far are professional and friendly. Very good guys to do business with. I'm getting an engine from them this fall.

You won't see me there considering i'm 1.4 lb/hp under the competition.

Mid-O is a handling track, that 1.4 lb/hp won't matter. There's only one straight where HP matters, if you're car is set-up and handles well you can run good lap times.

I'll be running in PTB anyway, won't have enough time/events to dual qualify for TT.
