Trackspeed Engineering NA Triple-Pass Dual-Core Race Radiator - ETA and Price Update

1 Attachment(s)
I know a lot of you have been waiting for these units to come back, so I'm happy (and relieved) to finally be able to say that we'll have NA units in stock in approximately 4-6 weeks. The catch, however, is that the price will be going up a little bit - from our current price of $449 to $499 for the NA twin-core.

To give you guys the opportunity to get the best radiator on the market at the old lower price, we're going to put them on sale for the next two weeks. If you pre-order a Trackspeed dual-core NA race radiator before the end of the day on June 15th, you'll pay the old price of $449. At Midnight on June 16th, the price goes up to $499.

All of our current credit card preorders, as well as all the orders placed through June 15th, will be billed on the 15th. Any orders placed after that will be billed the full retail price of $499 when the radiators ship in July. If you want to pay via Paypal, shoot me a PM or email and I can arrange to invoice you on the 15th.

NB radiators will follow the NAs by several weeks (8+). The price will be going up on those as well, although we don't yet know how much.

I guess I should put in my order for one then.

Laur3ns 05-31-2012 02:45 AM

These are really awesome. Even without ducting you could keep the car relatively cool and that is saying something.

Savington 05-31-2012 04:21 AM

Rover has one and it just runs around the track on the thermostat at 195*F, even in 90+ degree heat. It's nice to never have to worry about coolant temps, ever.

shuiend 05-31-2012 09:55 AM

I have placed my order, I also added a spiffy T-shirt to my order. Hopefully one day soon they all arrive.

Savington 05-31-2012 06:36 PM

This allotment of radiators is 50% spoken for. If you miss out on this batch, you may be waiting 2-3 months for yours.

wittyworks 06-05-2012 10:47 PM

Is my order from before still in your system?

Savington 06-05-2012 10:59 PM

It is. Shoot me a PM/email to discuss.

Another couple of orders over the weekend - it's possible that this batch will sell out before it arrives. Don't wait.

shuiend 06-06-2012 07:32 AM

Do you have pictures of where the upper inlet tube is? Is it in the stock location?

crashnscar 06-06-2012 11:01 AM

It's offset a little more towards the passenger side due to the crossflow design. Makes it easier for the guys with re-routes and we offer a replacement hose for anyone without a re-route (mainly spec miata guys).

what do you suggest for Shueinds?

I am worried about how far over to the left the upper water inlet is and how it will work with the hose I have. I am sure I will be able to make it work. I just want to start planning for it now so it is a quick install.

Laur3ns 06-06-2012 03:13 PM

From memory it's from the far right (passenger side). I have an almost straight pipe from the back (coolant reroute) to the inlet.

You can see the approximate location in this old picture.

Thanks for the picture. I will make it work when I get it in in a few weeks.

shuiend 06-29-2012 02:24 PM

So it is the end of June now. Any new updates on the ETA of the radiators?

JasonC SBB 06-29-2012 05:41 PM

For those who want their A/C to blow icicles, it looks like you can fit 2 x 10" fans over this thing.

When I know more, you'll know more. I'm not hoarding them in the shop, I promise ;)

How much is a little? Inches/cm/ect.

A /little/ is ok for me, more than a little (subjective!) is not going to work at all:

This is my next purchase with TSE, this delayed now?

My answer is in the post above yours. I will know more next week.

Yeah, I just thought it was ironic after the last email I got from you. :P

Anyway, would you let me know about the whole outlet thing? If it's moved over too much I just can't fit it there, but it doesn't seem to be too much, but want to make sure.

I should have the batch in my shop by the end of this week, and they will all ship out next week.

shuiend 07-11-2012 06:52 PM

I just got off the phone with Savington, he should be picking up radiators today. Then QA them, and hopefully shipping them out next week.

Any updates on if the radiators have shipped or shipping out to us soon?

Savington 07-19-2012 10:44 PM

Back from laser engraving today, fan mounts are being welded on tomorrow, everything ships next week.

I highlighted the word that scares me. What is awesome is the radiator should show up right when I am putting my engine back in my car. So I can drop it in and do ducting at the same time.

Savington 07-23-2012 08:00 PM

The current batch of NA units is sold out. The next batch is available for pre-order today, and it will ship in late August.

Savington 07-31-2012 07:51 PM

If you have an NA radiator on order, it shipped out today! If you didn't get a tracking number via our automated system, let me know via email and I will look it up for you.

The radiators do exist. I received mine today.

Savington 08-07-2012 11:27 AM

Lars is east coast, so that means that everyone should receive theirs today or tomorrow at the latest.

soviet 08-07-2012 11:53 AM

Yeah I got mine yesterday. I just need a fan for it now.

13" http://www.a1electric.com/spal/specs/30102044-2045.pdf
vs
14" http://www.a1electric.com/spal/specs/30102042-2056.pdf

The 13" is actually more powerful (see flow vs static pressure chart) but draws 3 amps more. Same price. I'm sure either will be overkill, but whatever... opinions?

Savington 08-07-2012 01:12 PM

I don't think a 14 will fit. I have one but it sticks up above the radiator.

Without AC, you should be fine with a 13 or even a 12. It's really just for idle and low-speed stuff.

soviet 08-08-2012 12:45 AM

I think the 14" spal would fit just fine. The radiator fin area is 13.5" high and the fan blades are a bit less than 14". So perfect.

I mocked this up and looks good to me.

Savington 08-08-2012 02:19 AM

Lenny, depending on the size of your swaybar, it may not fit. I'll snap a photo of the fan in Theseus tomorrow.

soviet 08-08-2012 11:30 AM

I (barely) clear my sway with ebay 2" radiator and stock fan. I had to trim the fan a bit but it fits. The Spal fan is considerably slimmer and should clear the sway with thicker rad..

I CAN DO IT!!!! Fan ordererededede!

Is there any chance of getting a NB unit?

Savington 08-14-2012 02:04 PM

Definitely. We're expecting the prototype in a few weeks to check for fitment, and then we'll release pricing info.

here's how the 14" spal fan ACTUALLY looks like. I haven't mounted it or checked sway bar clearance - it looks good to me.

This may be a stupid question, but is it the same width as the OEM radiator? Just thicker (76mm), right?

What do you mean the same width, but just thicker? If it is thicker does that not mean it is not the same width?

Braineack 09-17-2012 10:36 AM

the core thickness of the oem rad is MUCH thinner than the total thickness of the endtanks/mounts.

shuiend 09-17-2012 10:38 AM

Well he should have said core thickness. I guess tonight I will attempt to measure different things since I have an OEM, ebay, and TSE radiators all at my house.

kfed 09-17-2012 01:08 PM

I guess I'm more or less asking about mounting locations, does it mount to the stock location?

Savington 09-17-2012 01:19 PM

It drops into the factory location with no modifications required to the car. You will need to trim the OEM fan to clear the swaybar.

kfed 09-17-2012 01:27 PM

Thanks Savington, expect an order from me fairly soon.

Savington 10-18-2012 07:42 PM

NA cores arrived today! They will go off to our local fabricator to have fan bungs welded in, and current backorders will ship by the end of next week.

NB cores are ~4 weeks away.

smurfv8 01-02-2013 05:54 PM

I'm doing a Ford 302 V8 swap in an NA - mainly an HPDE track car, but street and AX use as well.
I saw mention of an 'NB V8' model - any issues with your standard NA radiator in V8 swaps?

chpmnsws6 01-02-2013 06:04 PM

You need to make some that slide under the front beam like the PRC unit for we V8 guys. I'm in need of a new radiator as this PRC unit has sprung a few leaks.

Not enough clearance to the engine as it installs now?
