Just made this, thought it might be useful

Just enter you old injector size, new injector size and the PW you want converting at it will tell you the new PW.

hopefully this helps out with all these cold start issues ;)

Thank you, this should come in handy today(hopefully.

Yay my first sticky...at least on a board I dont admin for.

I've just replaced my 230cc injectors with some 320cc ones and using this alterted all the PW that the PnP manual suggested and it ran fine :) Needed a little bit of tuning but other than that was a very very smooth transition.

For those of you using Windows that is a good option.
For those of you using Mac OS X Neoffice will work as well.

fourwhls Jan 29, 2008 03:03 PM

I downloaded the office compatibility pack and still can't open the file.

Please save it as a .xls

Download open office and you can use it.

EDIT:
I lied. Just tried it with NeoOffice. Won't work.
Please "Save As" .xls so others can benefit.

Braineack Jan 29, 2008 03:14 PM

I can do it when i get home, if Richard hasn't already done so by then.

yeah, and if you ever buy tires that don't fit the miata, go out and buy a car they do fit!

FWIW Open office is a FREE option for those who might not have a copy of Excel. I use it on a XP laptop at home and it works fine.

Not affiliated, FYI, YMMV, blah blah.

timk Jan 29, 2008 05:07 PM

Looks pretty cool. Does this take into account the opening time of the injectors?

richard_ha Jan 29, 2008 05:54 PM

Yes it does

Version for older Excel now added.

I see nothing wrong with using free software while you wait for someone to covert a document for you. The only downside to using open office is the lost space on your hard drive.

Thanks Richard

Thanks Richard

yeah i know. i just thought it was kinda silly to install a new office suite to open a single file.

miataz Jan 31, 2008 01:36 PM

thats weird on my ms, i put in the injector size 440, eninge cc 1597, and air/fuel at 12.7 and it told me the required fuel was 7.0? Does that sound right or no?

edit

cjernigan Jan 31, 2008 01:40 PM

You're supposed to use 14.7 for your air/fuel when calculating req fuel. My req fuel with 550s is supposed to be like 5.6, i run it at 6.0 though.

DIYAutotune recommended setting req fuel to a 13.1 air/fuel ratio, saying it produces a better idle. Its on the full manual page for the 94/95 MSPNP

richard_ha Jan 31, 2008 03:24 PM

Ignore everyone here, you are correct, it clearly states to use 12.7.

7.0 looks about right doesn't it?
