Default 15x9 +35 Issues

I am sure this question has been asked to shreds, but none of them have the exact answer that I am looking for. So I run Advanti Storms S1 15x9 +35 with 225/45 tyres. I am rubbing lock to lock. The rub seems to be from the lower control arms. My plan to fix this is to run a set of HR TRAK 10mm hubcentric spacers with ARP Extended Wheel Studs. I understand I will most likely have to roll my guards after this but the most important thing is will it stop the rub ? This would make my offset +25 so anyone running +25 on a 9 inch wheels are you getting any rub ?

a 3mm spacer stopped my 15x9 +36 wheels from rubbing on my lower control arms on my NA. Your results may vary.

I had 15x9 Konigs with 225 on NB2 and would only rub on full lock. So I just didn't go to full lock when moving.

I drive a NB8B, I think a 3mm will not make enough of a difference.

Remove the spacers and just don't:t use full lock. Faster and better handling with the offset at +36. We created the original 15x9 +36 6UL ten years ago as race fitment, meaning minor rubbing is acceptable. We have never used spacers on any NA/NB we have built or raced.

For street use, I guess folks care less about optimal geometry though.

There are multiple threads people discuss steering rack stops/spacers. Basically put a piece of plastic pipe or shaft collars around the inner tie rod to limit your steering lock just enough to prevent the rubbing.

Or score an MSM steering rack. The factory cut back on the steering lock for you so they could fit 17's and drop it a bit.

Or like, don't turn the wheel all the way over when you park. I know, it sounds crazy.

Its not that easy. When I moved the rack forward to fit the MZR literally everyone rubbed tie rods on my wheels if they had to back it up. Quite annoying. I dont do it but I cant let anyone drive the car till I install racek spacers. And I havent had this problem in years but if you havent come to the power steering masterrace its real easy to have a spin pin the wheel at full lock.
