100% would buy some, and so would many customers.

Many classes require street tires, and the Miata always gets the short end of the stick with tire selection because of it. A 275 would be a game-changer. We are currently building an enduro Miata to run in World Racing League for 2017 (K24 powered of course), but we're restricted to street tires. A 275 would be a fantastic option.

Additionally, this tire size would be huge for Honda guys. Up until the 245 VR1, everyone was stuck going up to 17s just to get a 255 street tire on the car. A 275 would be pretty popular in the Honda community. And not the JDM stance yo Honda community - those guys mainly are looking for 175s.

I figured the honda guys would love these as well. I'm sure the v8 guys would all jump on these as well, that way they could stop trying to convert to five lugs and use ugly *** wheels. While I absolutely love the current 245s, I think the 275s really would be a game changer and I'd be ecstatic to buy a set.

lmao Emilio wheels. These are about the only thing that would make me want to put flares on my car, but I would definitely do so. Even more motivation for +275... Is the plug material to increase width typically the same compound as the rest of the tire?

Hmmmm, so that means people will be unloading their 15x10's in order to use the 275's...that means I can (finally) put my 245's onto 10" wheels and WIN!!

Question, you mention them being ideal for a 15x11, however what is the minimum width they would be acceptable on? I thoroughly enjoy the "meaty" look, and was already considering the 245s on a 15x8 RPF1. 15x10 with 275s would be <3 <3 <3

I suspect they would work on 15x9's just as Hoosiers do. Better on a 15x10, best on a 15x11.
If a VR-1 in this size comes into existence, it won't be as wide as a Hoosier (no tire is).

I love the meaty look myself, but man 245 on an 8 sounds a bit sketchy. Even I wouldn't recommend, let alone people that drive fast in corners.

245 on an 8" is pretty normal, and totally safe. Like Emilio said about the 275. Fine on a 9", better on a 10", best on an 11".

Same with a 245. Fine on a 8, better on a 9 best on a 10

Back a few years ago, people were shoe-horning 275-35-15 Hoosiers on 6" rims for the front of Integra Type R's at Nationals for D Stock. I ran 225-45-15 Hoosiers on 6" Miata rims for years in C Stock. 245 is fine on a 8" wide rim.

Yeah. The stock NB size is 195 on a 15x6, which is a larger percentage difference in tire vs rim than 245 on a 15x8. There's no question a wider wheel is better, but if 8s are what you have, then it's perfectly safe and it's faster than putting 225s or 205s on it.

This would push me over the edge on a set of 11's. Especially if the new compound on the new Maxxis was as good as the Rival S of today.
