I can get a set for my Prius now:eggplant:

So you're not accepting pre-orders directly on your website? I want to order direct.
|
Ok, I read the post on the S2ki site. So pretty much hosed as far as club orange discounts on these wheels since you will likely not carry them at all.

Bummer. |

From the S2ki thread:
In order for us to grow, we will phase out consumer direct wheel sales, just like every other wheel company. This means most variants will no longer be offered through our website. Club Orange still applies to everything available on our website.

Sure, I get it. Still a disappointment. Since the stuff on your website that's reseller stuff isn't particularly price competitive. I guess if I needed another set of Xidas?

I'll probably still buy them because dammit, you've made a beautiful and light weight wheel. But a little carping is to be expected. |
I hope your getting the x10s for the s2k Ed.
|
Pewp. Want 17x9s for MX6. Do not want 35mm spacers.
|
|
I'm already running 20mm spacers to run some FD wheels. Do not like.
And i have these 255/40-17s just begging to be put to use. Hey Emilio, make some wheels just for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! |

Still going to pick up a set of these now that I've whined my piece

Wooooo now it looks like S2k fitments can be pre-ordered through the 949 site. Sent an email to JR on Thursday about fitment questions, haven't heard back. Will probably bug you tomorrow Emilio via email if I haven't heard back.

Ready to pre-order, just need to decide which size I'm getting.

I'll stop crapping up the ND thread now :)

Mind telling us what won't fit on the NA/NB? I'm just curious where it'll rub, not looking for specific offset or anything. My not Miata Miata (light weight exocet, fits x8 6uls no spacer) would look nice with 17x9's.

The ND wheel is much higher offset so it's going to rub on the inside.

This will generate a lot of mixed feelings, but we knew people were going to ask about the ND wheels on NA/NB, so we took a look at it.
***This is just to satisfy curiosity, we don't recommend 17" on the NA or NB*** 17x9 4x100 6UL with 235/40/17, no spacers: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1441268650 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1441268650 With a flare in the rear and lots of stretch to the front fender on this car, we can't make any conclusions about clearance with standard fenders. Looking at it, I'd expect it to need a strong roll and pull to fit these under stock fenders. Inner clearance: Front clears everything without a wheel spacer at "normal"steering angles that you would see in highway or track driving. Rubs on my 3" brake duct hoses in the last 1/2" to full lock. A steering angle stop could prevent this at the cost of parking lot turning radius. Suspension travel is the killer here. This tire is 1.3" taller than a 225/45/15 and 1.8" taller than 245/40/15. That means less bump travel before tire hits the tub. At my ride height in the pics, there is ~1.325" of bump travel available in the front. A big spacer on the shock shaft would be mandatory to engage the bumpstop earlier and limit travel. Front inner clearance in photo below. : https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1441268650 Forgot to snap a picture of the rear, but the wheel/tire clears everything on the inside juuuuust barely. Bump travel looks OK in the rear, but if you only limited shock travel in the front, you'd be in for some funky handling characteristics. |
Hmm. Looks like we need to get set up on a dealer account. I'll get them here for you Turbofan. ;)

Ha. Maybe for my next set... already pre-ordered :) Picked up the x9's direct from 949, and the X8's through JR.

Silly me though... Didn't order enough lugnuts or valves :vash:
