Advice on a tire for a 15x8 wheel
Hey all, i'm looking to buy some sticky summer tires finally for my 15x8 wheels, i have been looking at the Nitta NT05's. This car is not daily driven so wear is not really a concern..Any other brands/tires i should look at that wont break the bank? Thanks.

There are quite a bit. The RE71R impressed me quite a bit

RE71R is griptastic. I've enjoyed my Dunlop ZII Star Specs as well. Not as grippy, but last longer.

Good to know, thanks...any issue running a 205 on the 8 inch wheel? My local tire center doesn't think it will work well.

because they're dumb
tell them to stop being dumb or you'll take your business elsewhere .......in fact, you should probably do that anyway if they're dumb |
Nope, in fact that is the best size tire for an 8 inch wheel from a performance standpoint.

here on this forum we like Maxxis or Hoosier. 225/45r15 on a 8 or 9. Vr-1 for street/autocross/track day Rc-1 for chiseled jaw HPDE drivers/nasa contingency. Hoosier for racers in PTD

205 RE-71R on the 8 inch rim is the stickiest street tire you can buy. If you can find the new batch of Rival S tires, they are a very close second in terms of grip, but have worse turn in feel.
