Anybody use Dyna Beads?
Does anybody use dyna beads for wheel balancing? I just started using them in the motorcycle and they seem to work well, though I have never heard of them being used in a normal passenger car for some reason.

That seems effective. They work well on motorcycle and semi truck tires, so one could assume a miata is somewhere in between.

I've heard good things about them on the various MC forums i frequent, never tried them myself though.

I read 'dynobeads' at first, and imagined a product you stuck up your asshole to increase the sensitivity of your butt dyno. Seemed right up MTs alley.
That's pretty cool though. |
From a little more research, it seems the manufacturers recommend them more for taller tires than low profile tires. They work great on my motorcycle, but those are skinny and pretty tall compared to my RS3s.

We use beads like that all the time in larger truck tires, especially the knobby mud terrain variety. Ive used bagged powder called Equal occasionally in passenger tires to good effect as well. The bags eventually break open in the tire and the powder rolls around and forms balls of its own.
