extended wheel stud questions
 

i'm about to pull the trigger on some extended studs to run some spacers, but i want to make sure i get the right shit.

i'm looking at the arp studs since they seem to be the most readily available, but i'm open to other options, but i want to make sure i get the right shit.

from everything i've read, the na6 rear studs are a different part number than the 94-05 rear studs, so i want to make sure i get the right shit.

i have a 91 chassis, but it's such a frankenstein (96 engine. 94 wiring harness) i just want to make sure i get the right shit.

which studs do i get?

AND...
with the dust shield in the way, how do i install those studs in the rear?

Ricer shit? I like my ART studs because I can stick the lug nut in the impact gun and zip it on without having to start it by hand because of the rounded speed tip. And I like them for when I need to run spacers to fit borrowed hoosiers that are mounted on 6uls.

Then yes, you run 90-05 studs in the front and you run whatever year 90-93 or 94-05 that matches your rear hubs. I did my rears by pulling the hubs with a slide hammer (I was going to do wheel bearings but the upright and the longbolt have become one piece so that wasnt gonna happen) And then just put new front hubs on for the front hubs. Doing this with a press is glorious compared to using a vice/hammer/c-clamp/impact gun.

yeah, i think i have come to realize they are 1.6 hubs.

ARP's have also had the rounded tip since early 2012, and they don't snap off.

im running some camaro studs in my car, the knurl is only .003 bigger than the stock ones and the thread is the same, and you get another 1/2" of length or so. ARP of course
