Federal 595 RS-RR Cold Weather Performance

Gents,

I have track time in West Virginia this coming weekend, The mornings are going to be quite chilly, with one forecast for 27 degrees about the time I need to make the drive home. Track time temps 39-51 on Saturday, 37-50 on Sunday. If you've used the 595 RS-RR in cold weather, please let me know your thoughts. I'm leaning towards my Conti ECS, which I've actually driven on track in a light, non-sticking snow.

Thanks much,

Piggy backing on this after doing some searching, as I will be doing some "cold" weather trackcross up at summit point this fall/winter and wondering what would be the ideal cold weather tire to get for my miata?

Currently running 245/40/15 rs4's on my 404 whp miata. wheel spec is a 15x9 6ul right now but will prob grab a second set of wheels.

I have these in 205/15 on eights. They're extreme performance summer tires but I've driven them from the hotel to Summit Point when it was 24 degrees in the morning, and as I quoted, was on track with them later that day in a light snow. Will they work for 400+ hp? I don't know, but short of getting an actual all season, I wouldn't have another recommendation. I still drive my car to and from events. If I could only have one tire, it would be those. They're fantastic in the rain and not too shabby when it's dry.
