Those wheels and tires fit perfectly under the stock fenders.

+1. We're not much for form over function here. The car would be more aerodynamic with the stock fenders, and those wheels/tires fit under stock fenders.

If you're not on 245s or 275s and you have flares, you're doing it wrong.

It shouldn't, because camber. The local CSP car just switched to AK NB flares and they dont rub.

Must be just the lighting, looks like the tire extends past the flare.
Either way, they look great.

wow that looks seriously cool

I'd try to black out the rivets cause they kinda stand out a bit, but overall that car looks like it means business

Naw, bright pink nail polish on the rivets. Flat black normally looks stupid (IE like a car thats in primer) unless it has neon highlights. I want to do my car in a flat color, but it cant be black, gray, or white, because it'll just look like primer.

How can there be such a huge range of doing it wrong and doing it right on the same page?

It might not have "form over function" to some youngun but it looks mean to me!

Very aggressive, I like it.

He who likes style over function must also like the tail lights of those who don't. I would be glad to demonstrate that prinicple with my dumply little girl car...

Yikes noob this is an old thread! But since mine was the last post - 2 freeking years ago - in it I'll update.

I did end up putting flares on mine to fit monster truck wheels under it.

I can beat him on the track but I can never be as cool!

Before you ask I'll tell you they are a welded steel frame with a fiberglass skin and they are without a doubt the dumbest way anyone ever made flares. Do not try this at home!

The tires are 265/40-17 on 17x10 +25 wheels.

A few folks earlier in this thread said they regretted cutting the fenders and putting flairs on. I most certainly do not regret it but keep in mind most of what I do to this car is just because I like tinkering in the garage with it. I figure since I started with a $500 Miata I have nothing to lose by doing dumb stuff like cutting the quarters off it...
