First off let me say hello this is my first post and id like to show you guys the rota grids that i just installed in the miata. Comments are welcome and ill be sure to answer questions about fitment as much as i can..

jacob300zx 12-07-2011 01:56 AM

Rota has a 15x9 now the K7+36. Cool story though

flounder 12-07-2011 09:22 PM

Looks good.

thirdgen 12-07-2011 09:25 PM

Looks decent...where did you get em and how much?

Bond 12-07-2011 09:28 PM

Good thing the sticker says "daily driver" so we know it is a road car with these high performance rimzzzz.

chpmnsws6 12-07-2011 09:30 PM

Needs moar higher

jboogie 12-07-2011 10:03 PM

+ moar powah

Doppelgänger 12-07-2011 10:09 PM

We are the "roll the fenders to fit more meat" board...not the "roll fenders to fit 195 all-seasons" board. Raise the rear up some and get wider tires. On an 8", I'd be running the 245/35-16 Toyos.

But I'll say, it doesn't look bad at all. I have an itch for the K7s.....but selling SSRs to obtain Rotas seems so.....wrong.

huntsmcgee 12-07-2011 11:50 PM

its got around 225 whp and the 205s do just fine.

huntsmcgee 12-08-2011 12:03 AM

btw i got them for 650 shipped from 18racing.com... The comment about daily driven... the sticker is not because of the wheels its one of the cheaper things i have done.. it was impart to support iso and inpart that i drive it every day with the flyin miata turbo kit..

jacob300zx 12-08-2011 01:30 AM

How hardcore of you.

18psi 12-08-2011 01:47 AM

if this car is naturally aspirated and you claim hte power you do I'm going to fucking slap you bitchiure[ir

huntsmcgee 12-08-2011 02:26 AM

To be so rude you guys dont read much of what im saying. it says flyin miata turbo kit

matthewdesigns 12-08-2011 05:07 AM

A first post about spaced out rims isn't going to get you far. How about posting some info about your setup. Which FM kit, ecu, etc? You do the work or buy it as is? Anything custom under the hood?

huntsmcgee 12-08-2011 07:16 AM

The car was stock when i got it. I installed a fm voodoo 2 kit. Running the voodoo box and timing wheel. it has a full 2.5 fm exhaust. 305cc green tops. ksport pro coilovers. and im running around 10 psi on a gt2560r.

vehicular 12-08-2011 11:15 AM

he already said 10psi.

Doubt he's making the power he claims though, not with a doodoo box.
I'll bet those are just random numbers he pulled out of his ass.

thirdgen 12-08-2011 11:33 AM

205 whp sounds more realistic.

TurboTim 12-08-2011 02:11 PM

205/45 tires for 205 hp.

I run 205/45 tires too, but not with 205hp.

It really depends on the rubber.

jboogie 12-08-2011 02:34 PM

my all-seasons are 205/50-16s and hold full throttle in first, even when its below 40* outside. All in the rubber.....and the soft sidewalls help.

TurboTim 12-08-2011 03:13 PM

:werd: the old toyos wouldn't hold in 2nd but the new BFG's certainly do.

huntsmcgee 12-09-2011 02:16 AM

im running indy 500 wide ovals. in first gear on 8 psi i dont spin but on 10 psi in first i do 2nd is fine most of the time

jacob300zx 12-09-2011 04:00 AM

I run Tiger Paws, white letters out.

Doppelgänger 12-09-2011 09:25 AM

Mastercraft or GTFO.

jboogie 12-09-2011 10:16 AM

General AS-03 here. All the amazing silica compounding of the Continental DWS with a slightly softer rubber = win.

Damn, I can't wait til summer to put some real tires on.

I have the DWS on my Outback as the winter tire and the wife's cooper. Excellent tire.

And I was serious about the 205/45 BFG Gforce. Even this morning's 38degrees, they hook pretty good still.

huntsmcgee 12-11-2011 03:16 AM

thank you 18 psi.. should i roll my rear tires over your back and floor it so you can tell me exactly how many ponys im putting down... or do you have another method

18psi 12-11-2011 04:26 AM

Yes, I have another method: its called a dyno.

Post up a plot or go fuck yourself.
Club fagster wannabe poser bitch.

flounder 12-11-2011 09:28 AM

In before anus hazing....:hustler:

johnT 12-22-2011 08:30 PM

I got the car dynoed today on a dynojet and i am making what i thought i was.

jboogie 01-20-2012 03:51 PM

peak power and climbing at 7k on a 2560r? How much boost are you able to hold at redline?

18psi 01-20-2012 03:57 PM

lol
starting pull at 3500 has a lot to do with that

Fireindc 01-20-2012 04:04 PM

Honestly those wheels look rad, and some decent power behind it too. Nice car!

huntsmcgee 01-20-2012 04:10 PM

im running a gt2560r im able to hold 10 psi over the whole powerband. i also did the first two runs starting at 1500 rpms and came up with the same numbers. the last run was done at 3500 due to a lean spike at 2800 rpms which only happed on the dyno.
