Default 15x6.5 wheels

I'm looking at a set off ssr reps that are 15x 6.5 and +38 offset. What size tire can I run and will this fill my wheel well. I have a stock na.

Not going to happen with that wheel. You either run too low offset and mess up handling or run a wide wheel and improve handling. 15x9 +36 is the size we developed about 8 years ago. It's become a standard size in the aftermarket wheel industry now. Requires 225/45/15 tires. Google those sizes + Miata for images.

Thanks I was thinking that 15x8 was the standard. I know everyone loves the Ul6 wheels from 949 racing, are there other common brands?

we just dislike terrible crap like xxr around here when there are dozens of really nice wheels for our cars

..in fact, over the past couple years the selection has almost doubled. there is no reason to buy xxr

You want a really good 15x7? get the advanti s1 (there are many others, but that's my favorite)
15x8 and 15x9 there's even more selection

They are wheels. The rim is a particular portion of the wheel. The rim is the edge. Do you know what a rim job is?

I have a set of Kosie K1 TS 15x7 that are about 10 years old now. They have served me extremely well until I grew a pair and got some 15x9 6UL's.
