Thanks. My first car. I'm ecclectic. The only consistency is that I like convertibles. The dermatologist loves me.

A Little Bit Off-Topic (Not a Miata)

I thought it was interesting the difference aftermarket wheels can make when the car manufacturer is not as weight conscious as Mazda. Car is a 2009 Poncho G8 GT. Believe it or not, this car is heavier than the Fury.
After 40K miles, the G8's OEM Goodyears finally gave way (I know, you're saying "what took me so long"). So, happy with the Enkei's on the Miata, I took the plunge on the G8. Package is Enkei PF01s with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/45R18s. Side by side of New vs. OEM. Interestingly, both wheels are Enkei-manufactured with "MAT" rims in 18x8 sizing, but the PF01 is about 10#'s lighter than the OEM: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 OEM weight with completely worn Goodyears (52.2#s): https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 PF01 weight with brand new Michelins (43.4#s): https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 Glory shots of the G8 in its natural environment (at the pump): https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318188429 |

It looks much better. Hows the ride?
Our gas is about 50c more expensive than over there https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1318205440 |
Smooooooth as silk. And, sticks like glue.
We have two competing stations that are having gas wars. Love it. $2.96 today. |
4 bucks here :( Gotta love the corruption...
