Plus 16" tire options suck. Ask me how I know ;)

curly 04-12-2011 09:01 AM

How do you know?

Braineack 04-12-2011 09:03 AM

cause I have two sets of 16s? and it took forever to find a 215/45/16 let alone a 225/35/16, and the only 245/30/16 is a shitty Toyo.

18psi 04-12-2011 10:18 AM

lolwut?

205/40/16 would be too short and I can put a 205 on a 14" rim.
215/40/16 would be great, find me some good 215/40/16 tires.
225/40/16 would be too tall, find me a good 225/40/16 tire.

you can go with a:

205/45/16
215/45/16
215/40/16
225/35/16
245/35/16

The only "good" tire in those sizes is the Kuhmo XS in a 215/45/16, which I have.

The ONLY 245/35/16 is the Toyo T1R...it's overpriced, it's not a good tire, and they aren't even in stock.

The only good 215/40/16s are the fk-452s and the S.Drives, overpriced and not the greatest tire, you aren't going to win competitions with them at least.

I think the only race tire you can find in any of the above is the 215/40/16 Kuhmo v710 at $230 a pop.

No RS3s, 615Rs, NT01s.

plus these short sidewalls create a shitty harsh ride.

What about Federal 595RS-R in 205/45/16

Lokiel 04-14-2011 05:16 AM

Stalker! :makeout:

I assumed it was, seeing as its on their North American site and they have a fair few distributors in the usa.

My bad Dave, for some reason I read your post as "225"/45/16 and there aren't many options for 225s on 16" rims.

mazstro 04-14-2011 11:31 PM

oh ya by the way this is my daily driver not a race car

No one cares. I race my car daily for money and women.
