Konig Feathers look bit to narrow - spacers, hubs, studs, options ?

I replaced my heavy stock 2002 SE 16" wheels with some Konig Feathers for the weight and cost. They are a 6.5" wide 15" wheel and I put 205/50's on there. I like the weight of the wheel and the design but the offset makes them look narrow on the car. I like a wheel that's flush or even spaced out a muniscule amount - gives it a bit of stance.

What are my low cost and then medium cost options?

Are 5mm spacers really going to look that much wider, and if I go to a 8mm or higher I'll need new studs and hub-centric spacers etc etc etc $$$.

Any advice ?

spacers are 50/pair from what I remember. you can get just about everything from 5mm(too small imo) to 15(perfect imo) to 25+

Anything more than 5mm will require the type that bolt up to your hubs and have their own bolts cause you don't want to take away from the thread.

Hubcentric with studs are usually about 100 a pair.

But... still cheap.

On that note... I'd only be willing to go so cheap on something that could result in a wheel falling off. I'd be a little hesitant to buy those. Just a little though... I do run XXRs :p

that was just an example lol
but yeah. it is what it is. anywhere from 50-100 for a pair

I'll look into those.

Are new wheel studs a pain to do, as in getting the old ones out and new pressed back in ?

Do you really need hubcentric? Doesn't that just aid the initial installation? I don't even bother with my hub rings and have never had an issue.

I suppose during the tightening that it is the bolt to nut and the conical washer surface to wheel surface interface that ultimately determines the exact mounting point. So you could get away without a hub centric.

I wonder if any studies have been done to determine the load on the interaction at the rim/hub. It would be interesting to see. If it all works out I'm going to balsa wheel nuts and 5ft/lbs torque - my car would be sooo fast then.

The winter 185/65/15 steelies are on so I won' be using my Feathers until late March/April

I have 5mm spacers in the front and must use long studs or the lugs lose the threads. Get the nice H&R spacers if you value your life.

I've got a couple H&R 5mm spacers I'd sell. Bought them intending second hand intending to get another set but decided I'm fine with the offset of my wheels. They are kind of dirty since they are grooved and that catches all the grime, but otherwise are in great shape.

Thanks but I'm looking at 10mm or more to start.
