tire size help for 16x8 rims

ok, so i havea set of 16x8's wiht 0 offset. im currently on stock suspension but will be upgrading to coilovers soon and dropping the car a little. im running into trouble figuring out what size tires i can run. im looking to have a medium stretch. i was thinking a 205/45/16. anyone have any input as to a good size????

205/40/16. 205/45's are going to be a little too tall IMO. I ran 205/40/16's on my 16x8's when I had my NB and they were perfect.

I don't know what your definition of "too tall" is, but 205-45-16s are much closer to stock size than 205-40-16s

BTW, here is a shitty picture of my car with 205-40-16s

The speedo is pretty far off once you get past 60mph

I have 205/45's on 16x7's. My car is stock height though, but I have no issues at all.

Tire stretch is one of the ugliest things one could possibly do to a car.

Braineack 04-21-2011 12:03 PM

I run 205/45/16 on my 7" wheels. I run 215/45/16 on my 7.5" wheels

There are a few 215/40/16s. a few falkens come to mind.

There is a 225/35/16 and 245/35/16 available at a huge cost.

I was going to tell him to prepare to have his anus violently penetrated, but for what it's worth there IS some useful information on that site. Gives a good idea of fitment, and not all of them are stretched.

I have 205s on 8 inchers, kinda stretched I guess, does that make me bi?

come on now. it was for refrence purposes for everyone. everyones got there own preferences when it comes to their car. if you dont like it dont do it to your own car.

Fixed.

I like tire stretch, but there are some things you just don't tell these people. Oh wait. Shit.

xtreme77mopar 04-25-2011 09:39 PM

Im running 215/40-16 with a zero offest. Had to roll and pull the fenders through. And im at stock ride height

bryan_1 04-29-2011 05:49 PM

I have 245/35-16 on 16X8 at stock height. No issues.

Braineack 04-29-2011 05:56 PM

T1r?

Stein 04-29-2011 05:56 PM

Boy, nothing like a stretched tires, stretched anus thread to bring out the nOObs.

I was about to say the same thing.
We should make threads like this periodically to weed out the homos.
