Wheel suggestion for stock 2000?

I need new tires for my 2000 Miata with 14" wheels. There aren't a lot of choices for the stock wheels, so I've been looking at 15" wheels.

The car is driven ~4000 miles/year, is not a daily driver. Haven't been to a road course yet, but would like to go eventually. TireRack seems to have a decent deal on the 15x7 +30mm Kosei K1 + Star Specs.

Car is bone stock, I have delusions of making it much faster, but life is getting in the way. I know 6UL will be the most common response, but what other wheels should I consider?

Try TRMotorsports (from tirerack).

I liked my TRM C1M's. Eventually had to upgrade to a wider wheel with stickier rubber but i think they looked great. Had the dark grey models.

I considered the TRMotorsports, but ended up getting the Kosei K1s. If I get into racing, I'm sure I'll end up with 6ULs eventually.

Car needs to be lowered now. I've considered the Flyin Miata stage 2 suspension kit. Flyin' Miata : Chassis : Suspension packages : Flyin` Miata stage 2 suspension kit Any suggestions for other similar setups?

Thanks!

Still haven't ordered shocks or springs yet, but I saw this deal from Goodwin Miata Performance Parts : Tokico Illumina Miata Handling Kit : 1999-2005
"FOUR Tokico Adjustable damping Illumina shocks and matched set of all four Tokico lowering springs for 99-05 Miata. Front Spring Rates = 212 lbs, Rear = 160 lbs."

Would stiffer springs be better? I intend to eventually go to a track, but haven't made it yet. To be realistic, consider this a weekend driver. Think this would be a good combo with FM or RB swaybars?

Do not order that kit...those springs have really shitty rates. FM lowering springs or nothing.
Check Flyin' Miata 1 800 FLY MX5s and order the springs with the shocks. Better yet, just get the whole package with the sway bars.

My FM sways were they biggest change I've noticed and like in the car. Absolutely zero compromise with them, they just rock. So yeah, if you order anything, make sure you do sways too. Or just do sways.
