Wheel tire experts 245/55/15

Any ideas on the best wheel/offset to fit this tire on the rear of a NA miata? I know its going to take a pull and a roll no matter what offset i go with but im just looking for my BEST option. As of right now my game plan was to order some 15x8 +36 6Uls and pray they fit with some love. I figured before i paid that i would give the trolls some food and see if i can get one of 10 up coming bashing post to give me useful helpful info and maybe suggest a better offset or wheel. Keep in mind this is not a auto x or track car...and no i do not want your opinion and or 12 page essay on how im building my miata wrong.

245/55R15 (26" Tall) NEW Tire!

Thanks guys :)

Is this for drag racing? Those being taller than stock will reduce your effective gearing.

It's not going under the car without a flare, IMO. 245/40s are nearly impossible to put under the back of an NA, and that's a 23" tire. Your DR is a 26" tall tire, so you're going to be cutting the car.

You'll also need to restrict suspension motion so that the last 1.5" of bump travel can't be accessed. No amount of flaring will solve that problem.

No idea on specs, but I think this was the biggest it can fit :likecat:

I approve .. time to read the crap out of that build thread.

That almost looks like a 28inch tall but maybe ill message that guy and ask ..which gives me a lot more faith but may a miata just makes them look giant.

Reading that ill step it down to a 235 and do what ever i need to make them fit. Looks like my only saving grace will be pro efi traction control but i kind of already expected it to come down to that no matter how wide of a tire i try to fit.

I wish i could have just gotten a MS3 but MS3 cannot control the auto trans. So instead i had to get rapppppped and buy a pro efi. I guess it worked out though because i will have one of the better traction control systems available.

Could have done this The US Shift Transmission Control System + MS3X maybe?

Sell your pro EFI and do what everybody else does (MS3). If everybody does it it has to be right.

Meh great working standalone that has great traction control, flex fuel, controls auto trans well ect. Trading for a megasquirt would be a big downgrade. This isn't for a bp its for a vvti 2jz. I already bit the bullet mise well enjoy it now :). My buddy tried convincing me to go megasquirt and is buddy's the with diy auto tune guys and spoke to them for me there was nothing they could sell me. The a340e is a very picky trans and needs to be controlled well, a aemv1and v2 can control a auto trans but not well enough to keep a a340e alive.
