Will these Rotas fit?

Hey guys-

So I have had an answer to this question from another forum member on miata.net, but wanted to see if I got a similar response from you all.

I wanna know if rota slips 15x7 (on 195/50) will fit on the an Nb with coils lowered so the wheel are just tucking under the fender (really not a problem they are adjustable).

The real question I have is that right now they are coming off of a honda which has a 56 mil hub, and I have heard that the NB has a 54.xx mil hub, and I was wondering if I would need rings to match this? or if tightening the lugs would be what is needed. I was told that 2-3 millimeter rings might not even exist (I cant find any), and if they did they would be pointless in there help in the first place.

I have searched and only found this on miataturbo:

hi im picking up a set of rims and tires tomorrow and im wondering if ill have fender to tire clearance issues. the wheels are rota slip stream 15x7 with RA1 225 45 15 tires on them. my car is a NA lowered about 2.5 inches on kyb agx and not sure of the brand of springs. my ride height is not adjustable.

would i just be able to get away with a good 'ol fender roll?

thanks

The people who answered him just said that the answer is yes and that it wont rub, but nothing about the rings and I will be using 195 (stock tire size), not 225.

Thanks in advance if you have an answer. I think I know, but I just wanna be sure before I spend the money.

Hubcentric rings are pointless. Tighten the wheel in the air and make sure it's centered.

What is the offset on the slipstreams? IIRC it's not too crazy but it's hard to say if they'll fit or not without that info. A 15x7 +36 will fit fine but a 15x7 +0 will cause problems.

This, I don't see why they wouldn't fit.

Hey sorry, I meant to put that they do have a +40 offset, but you answered my question. Thanks about the rings. I figured it wouldn't make a difference.

No problem fitting those. But next time, ask such a question on miata.net.

Probably gonna need to roll and pull, maybe even flare the car.

clubroadster.net has ALL your fitment info...

Thanks...I didn't realize that. I do not go on clubroadster, but if it has different resources than miata.net and Turbomiata than I will check it out.

Can't tell if serious... but you definitely shouldn't need anything with that size, tire, and spacing.

Yea i couldnt tell if serious either....I thought about selling the miata just to make the tires fit... now that I know they might not fit...(sarcasm?...)

My original question had nothing to do with whether they would fit or not....It was in regards to whether I would need rings to make sure I didn't have any stability issues with the tires being to big for the hub, but ya know...I digres.
