zoom2zoom 10-22-2008 04:30 PM

lol, yeah, because there is only ONE bilstein shock ever put under a Miata!! Come on guy, if you want what you need, you need to be more specific!!

superman with heat 10-22-2008 08:29 PM

how specific can i be....its simple. This way i have more options

zoom2zoom 10-22-2008 09:21 PM

you are an idiot, at least 4 different models came with Bilstein shocks from the factory, WHICH ONES DO YOU NEED????

superman with heat 10-22-2008 09:34 PM

ok YOU idiot....i would prefer the bilsteins on the (NB) hard S or mazdaspeed but i can work with which ever comes in NA since i'm planning on getting them rebuilt....better for you? lol

gamman 10-22-2008 09:53 PM

superman with heat 10-22-2008 10:27 PM

finally, we are getting somewhere. I was thinking of swapping out the Sport suspension from my 90 that came out of a 2002 with 40k miles. had it on for about 800 miles. make an offer I can't refuse.

superman with heat 10-23-2008 10:39 AM

$200...simply because replacements are almost $400 brand new...

Link to where they're $400 new? (list is $806)

zoom2zoom 10-23-2008 02:45 PM

This would be a complete NB Sport setup, not just the shocks, and Tokico springs if desired.

superman with heat 10-23-2008 09:37 PM

i just need the shocks...i have GCs

i didnt mean replacement oem shocks...i wouldnt pay that much for oem..i meant to replace your shocks with bilsteins

rotaryjunky 10-24-2008 09:44 AM

Spec Miata spec's are garbage btw.

Actually, isn't the SM bilstein an off the shelf HD?

superman with heat 10-24-2008 12:33 PM

so you're saying 700lbs F 375lbs R are garbage for a street driven car? wow...didnt think that was garbage....of course im not planning on running spring rates that high since it would kill me DD in Los Angeles..

zoom2zoom 10-24-2008 01:52 PM

Shouldn't you match the spring and shock rates?

superman with heat 10-24-2008 02:51 PM

i need to buy new front springs first in order to match but for now it will do since i wont be installing them till i get every component

fmowry 10-24-2008 09:13 PM

You get shocks valved to specific spring rates. I think Shaikh's at Fatcat are valved to +-25 lb springs, so if you get them valved for 400lb fronts, you can go 425 or 375 to see what's optimal for your driving. FWIW, my revalved Fatcats are running 375/300 F/R and they're very controllable, handle great and are still comfortable on the street. You don't need mega spring rates with properly valved shocks.

superman with heat 10-24-2008 11:46 PM

the only reason i'm buying those is because i came across a deal im not gonna pass up....im still gonna get them revalved but only the fronts (to about 550 lbs) so i can run them on the street....i just wanted to prove BEN wrong since he wanted to give a sarcastic coment such as "oh, good luck with that"....all you gotta do is search around and wait

wow, great job on being an exception and not the rule, and for finding a seller who didn't know the actual value of his items.

superman with heat 10-25-2008 05:29 PM
