18psi 04-07-2010 09:47 AM

:giggle:
wtf is an "innercooler", "feedline return", and "blowoff valve piping"?

Looks like someone needs to search a little.

shuiend 04-07-2010 09:54 AM

Begi or FM should have all those parts.

miszcris 04-07-2010 09:56 AM

thank you.

webby459 04-07-2010 10:20 AM

wut. I mean, wutz?

gospeed81 04-07-2010 10:34 AM

I'm local and currently upgrading, so I've basically got 2 of everything except for the gauges.

PMed.

Bryce 04-07-2010 10:34 AM

1.6 or 1.8?

miszcris 04-07-2010 10:37 AM

i probably do need to do a little more searching ^^; , now im worried aha.
I'm letting someone take my car for 2 weeks and buying the parts he told me i'd need.

This could end badly judging by some recent experience here. Some chick (SVTKate?) left her car at a shop and they did some intercooler piping job that necessitate complete removal of the FRONT SWAY BAR! :jerkit:

But yeah, it would be good to know if you have a 1.6L or 1.8L car....different flanges at the head, slightly different spacing to the exhaust.

"Houston, we have a problem!":vash:

miszcris 04-07-2010 10:49 AM

:) aha, defiently had my morning laugh for the day.

slutz4 04-07-2010 11:01 AM

so basically you need an entire turbo setup. Sounds like your best bet would be a fm or begi kit.

miszcris 04-07-2010 11:04 AM

yeah someone else mentioned that, I've been looking at kits. & I'm the type of person who wants things now. Horrible right? So i'd hate to spend 3.5k when i can find a good used one. Just hard to find people in the area :/

Bryce 04-07-2010 11:07 AM

Come to think of it, I have a complete Greddy turbo setup, minus fuel management.

Turbo and Manifold
2.5" downpipe with cat and test pipe
Old style FM intercooler and pipes
Oil feed and drain lines
I might be missing something on the list. It's off the top of my head.

$800 picked up in Cypress.

miszcris 04-07-2010 11:08 AM

will pm.

levnubhin 04-07-2010 12:06 PM

You need a torsen diff swap.

aznDragonX 04-07-2010 12:47 PM

I got a BEGI mani with roughly about 3000 miles and brand new BEGI Stainless Steel Separated Gases Downpipe for 1.8L that I currently selling.

Full_Tilt_Boogie 04-07-2010 12:48 PM

Do you have engine management?

+1 on differential, and buying a kit

That'll fit well on a '91.

aznDragonX 04-07-2010 12:50 PM

I know it won't fit in 1991 with 1.6L. That's why I stated parts are for 1.8L

The OP does not have a 1.8, so why would you post that?

Jfornachon 04-09-2010 02:27 AM

She also has an automatic if you didn't notice that. From what I have heard they don't handle boost that well. Just a thought.

Have a great day,
Jared

What have you heard?? dont automatics have lower compression (9:1) than manuals??

miszcris 04-09-2010 08:53 AM

×listens×

olderguy 04-09-2010 10:50 AM

Greddy turbo can work very well on an automatic.

Jfornachon 04-09-2010 11:42 AM

I have heard that they like to let go. This is from a guy who worked for Brainstorm Performance. I have not owned an automatic so I don't have first hand experiance, but from the op's coments about giving the car to a friend with parts. It sounds like the boost might be pushed.

Have a great day,
Jared

buffon01 04-09-2010 12:23 PM

Doesnt pen_to_penguin have a turbo auto??? OP You might want to talk to him

miszcris 04-09-2010 06:00 PM

:] well I'm def. Buying a greddy steup.

p51hellfire 04-09-2010 11:22 PM

miszcris 04-11-2010 10:21 AM
