I might have one in a few weeks if I pull the trigger on the 2871. Should know in 2 weeks.

Do it.

I'll only do it if I can find out for sure that an internal gate with the T25 footprint won't creep. I've got an internal setup now and don't want the downtime of going EWG.

Port the wg outlet.
And it'll depend on the d/p too.
I imagine the BEGI d/p won't creep bec of nice flow out the wg.
What d/p you using?

Latest Begi. :) I really need to decide how far I wanna push the stock block.

Yah same here. FWIW I'm going bell-mouth style on my GT2871 w/internal wg.

If you feed the wg pipe into its own small muffler into atmo, you won't get any boost creep. ;)

Have there been reports of the 2871 creeping?

TurboTim 10-17-2007 08:40 AM

I don't know who's running the 2871 yet or which 2871 they are using (there's 3 different trims with their own A/R ratios).

I'll be running my 2871 56 trim .86 A/R Turbine internally gated at low boost (~8) in the beginning, but that won't be for a few months. If it does creep, I'd like to know now so I can plan a spot for an external gate.
