MiataRoadster OEM Length Short Shifter
You may want to indicate if you need an NB1 or NB2 kit based on VIN.
2001-2002 6-SPEED MIATA OWNERS PLEASE NOTE:
We’ve determined that Mazda changed the design of the 6-speed transmission somewhere in between the 2001 and 2002 model years. So if you have a 2001-2002 6-speed, please check your VIN before ordering a shifter kit because the contents vary. If the last six digits of your VIN are below 220739, order the kit for 1999-2001. If the last six digits of your VIN are above 220738, order the kit for 2002-2005.

Thank you for the clarification Bopop. However, I have been experimenting with difference shift levers for a couple years and have collected a few spare parts. The difference between the early and late 6-speed is the diameter of the lower ball. The early lever has a smaller ball than the later version. I have the MR shifter bushing for the smaller ball, as well as one for the larger ball. I can use a shifter from any year 6-speed.
I'm starting to part out my 01' Crystal blue 😥.
I have a stock length miataroadster shifter for 5-speed. Just need to pull it off the car. I paid ~ $550 back in 2018 but seems they are much cheaper now. Shoot me an offer. I'll PM you pics.
