Anyone selling 949 billet uppers at less than retail, much like 6ULs, is a dead give-away to call the cops and send help because someone's life is in danger.

You mind elaborating on the clunk of spring you speak of? You mean a clunking noise using the NB tophats on XIDAs?

No i do not have a "plastic thingie" witch is i believe a spring retainer. This is something that was developed in response to the spring moving around in the top hat. Yes i have NB top hats and No i do not want the plastic retainer because i believe that the system as a whole will be better without the rubber bushing that the NB system uses to hold the strut in place.

I had the black plastic upper spring retainer/perch things on mine before I upgraded to the billet. When I took them out they where all F'd up. smushed up and gouged by the springs quite oddly, and that was after only two events on them and no street use.
