Ok, we'll i'm looking for a daily driver to do some mods to. i'm thinking turbo, exhaust, ecu, pulleys... nothing too crazy... but still a surprise when some kid in an si tries me. i'd like to get in the high 13's as a daily driver. my mechanic friend that used to race is looking to gut it and make it a weekend driver or maybe track car. and the third guy... i am not sure... the mechanic was actually wondering about a monster miata possibly. some guy he works with has a 94 5.0 that he took apart to build with his son, but the son moved away to college and the mustang sits in pieces and the guy offered it to him for $1000 and its stroked with head work and some other goodies... he's looking for a kit and some opinions from someone who's got first hand knowledge of a monster miata... he's a bit worried about so much weight on the front and how it'll effect handling and everything. so we're looking for some cheap miatas with low mileage basically... if my friend decides to do the monster... we'll be looking for a miata with a blown engine or something... i just wanna see whats out there.

the 5.0 is not a good choice, tell him to look into a 302, they tend to be better for this, i think its because of the head design being flatter, etc. - no expert here
keep your eyes open on craigslist and ebay as well as the cars for sale section... you never know waht will come by
