I have a 1999 nb miata with torsen, my boot is gone and want to replace axle. I need the rear left side shipped to 33411

You can buy a bright shiny new-ish remanufactured axle from Autozone for $65. I doubt you could get a used one shipped to you any cheaper.

I've just been through this. It seems that these days you send in your axle for rebuild. I suspect it's because the axles are so durable that the remanufacturers can't make a business case to keep them in stock.
Also, the axles are interchangeable. No left vs. right. You can also buy boot kits. That's what I did with my Torsen-swap axles. Worked out great. Note that the outer CV joint can't be disassmbled, so having a good solvent-based parts cleaner and compressed air is key to cleaning it out before putting in new grease. |
