Soft top needed
Anyone have a new or like new soft top of decent quality that they don't want anymore? Black or tan, zip or no zip, glass or plastic, although glass is preferred. Figured id check before I buy a robbins. HOA suddenly doesn't allow car covers, so my Holy top must go.
And if someone wants to give me a hardtop for softtop prices, id probably entertain that too. Thanks! |

Reason #347 I will never live somewhere with an HOA. I have a tan top that might be available in a couple of weeks, but it's probably no better than the one you already have. |
I had approval from the previous board to have it, but my fuck up not getting it in writing. The home owners took over a few weeks ago and they are going nuts. Even the lady at the management company who drafted all the letters said they were getting pretty ridiculous. I guess it was always in our CC&Rs in an indirect way, but the previous board didn't give a shit and basically told my neighbor(shes the token HOA reporter for our street) to deal with it.
basically- ".....no vehicles shall be stored..." "A stored vehicle is one that is: X, Y, Z and or is covered with a car cover or tarp, etc, blah blah blah..." I fuking despise HOAs. We were kind of in a bind when I bought this house, so its a compromise I made. We are moving soon and one of my requirements is no HOA. |
LOL. I used to DD an old, brown Buick. HOA would constantly send me letters on it citing the same language. On a vehicle that I drove frequently! Bottom line, you've got some neighbor somewhere that you've pissed off -- probably an old lady.
As for soft-tops, I bought an E-bay special (~$150?) with a glass window 12 years ago. It's been great. |

Im not going to bor you all with the stories, but shes the typical HOA bitch, and for the record, completely unreasonable. Her house is for sale.... More importantly, any idea what brand that was Rick? |
It was a no-name similar to this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/MAZDA-MIATA...tUk8NM&vxp=mtr Looks like prices have gone up since 2006. |
My plastic window robbins top failed at the window seam in less than 3 weeks. No warranty at all on the plastic window section. Just some food for thought.
|
LOL get a loose soft top with no frame, and some bungie cords. When parked, use your tarp and put the soft top on over it, fastening it to the car with the bungie cords. :D
|
I just took the canvas top off my MSM, frame and all. I would sell it to you but I am in OR so that would be an issue.
|
Give it to @aidandj and hell deliver it to me
|
I don't know if you're in the 'Phoenix Miata Parts' FB group, but someone just posted a soft top with frame for $100...

I'm not driving to AZ anytime soon, don't think a soft top will fit in carry-on if I fly.
|
Yea it was more a joke, thanks for the offer though Mr. Wolf.
