Default Mazdaspeed 6-Speed Transmission

I am in need of a Mazdaspeed 6-Speed Transmission and 3:93 rear gear set for my drift car. 5 speeds don;t hold up and are a piece of junk over 200hp.

Or if you can find the 3:60 (or something close to that) I might be intreged here soon.

You are in the right place then.

I am sure a few people on this forum can give you the info you need.

someone can't drive then. about 90% of us run a 5spd with no problems and several are near the 300whp mark. with a stock 5spd trans.

It's a drift car. It gets abused a bunch. But if you are putting some good power down and are driving aggressive it is bound to happen.

the rear or the clutch should be the ones blowing up if anything, not the trans.

Call Tom at PartsGroup. He has a 8K mile MSM trans. Mention my name (Ben) to him.

2nd on the five speeds. My friend Brian had a 99 T3/T4 turbo with about 280 horsepower to the rear wheels. He drifted alot with his as well and it was a low mileage transmission. (34,000 when the Link Turbo setup was installed) and it went out at 53,000.

Seems like if you show mechanical empathy, then it won't give you much of a fuss, but clearly ******** and drag racing on super softs will take the tranny down eventually.

I heard that the Aisin supplied 6 speed transmission holds well up to 450 abusive horsepower...
