Bump. Crappy old FM down pipe just gave tonight. Broke about 3 inches from the turbo. Need a new one

FM states all over the place on their site that their downpipes/exhausts are stainless steel with lifetime warranty.

Our latest downpipe is compatible with any FM turbo that is equipped with the cast or fabricated turbine outlet. Stainless steel, lifetime warranty.
Not sure what terms and conditions apply, but it might be worth giving them a call and asking. Worst they can do is give you nothing.

Ah, I've thought about it, but I believe the downpipe I have is a very first gen if not a prototype downpipe. Its not cast and I don't think its stainless. I think folks refer to it as a 'bell style' downpipe. Not sure if FM would have anything to do with it since it's so old and I'm not the original owner.

Meh, all they can do is tell you "get stuffed" and you are right back where you started. Anything more than that is win. Maybe they'll offer to fix it for you, who can tell? Won't know until you ask :)

(Note: I doubt FM would ever tell anyone to "get stuffed" they are very nice people. I've spent embarrassing amounts of money with them and its always been a positive experience)

Looks like a warranty is a no-go.

If I do decide to go OTS, is there a massive difference between an Artech downpipe and what Flyin' Miata offers? Whats the lead time for Artech? I need a new one asap, but at the same time don't want to feel rushed into a decision and regret not getting a different piece.
