WTB: 1.8 short/longblock in Norcal or Socal
99% sure I threw a rod on the way back to SLO this evening. MRLS is in 3 weeks and the car needs to be running before then, so I have time to tune the new motor. Mileage doesn't matter so long as it compression tests halfway decently. Shoot me a PM if you have one, or you know someone.

wow that sux. well your engine did last quite a long time with much abuse..good luck man

Can't complain. 28,000 miles and a bunch of track days with 13+psi and a whole bunch of detonation. I was just waiting for it to let go, but I didn't think it would do it cruising down the highway. :bang:

If all your accesories are still good (oil pan, timing cover, valve cover, etc) a kia sephia long block will work and it's got the MBSP as a bonus. But main reason is kia engines are cheaper and it's the same thing. :)
In for carnage thread BTW. |

Still looking? I've got two motors. oh, ah, 3 weeks is up. Well, if you're still looking, I've got some parts, one with a fresh rebuild.
